✨🌸🌧️
✨- which fictional character (book, show, or movie) do you relate to most?
Silver!!! from ancient magus bride (which i still say should have been named “ancient magus’ daughter”…). i love her so much, all i want from life is being able to take care of friends/adoptive family, and not be forced to ever speak (seriously, low-key upset at my parents for forcing me to speech therapy as a kid, so many times i would rather just not speak, but people don’t accept that as a valid option after they’ve heard you speak once -.-), and also bake good tasty meals for them, and keep the house nice and tidy (even though i’m failing to do both of those things for myself at this very moment..)
🌸- what is your favorite flower?
bleeding hearts, and forget-me-nots. i also love queen anne’s lace, and those drawf petunias i had on my window still last year… and lavender… i want a large garden and the energy to maintain it!!
🌧️- favorite thing to do on rainy days?
at the moment, my rainy days are more or less the same as the sunny ones.. which is to say not much happens. i used to like a cup of tea by the windows, watching the rain come down. i haven’t done that in a while, haven’t felt up to it

Plant round up continued... The Shelf of Growing edition!
Here we have Piper the chinese money plant (or pilea peperomioides) & a baby jade pothos that rooted.
A creek lavender plant that grows in a wild sort of way, my marble queen pothos, & a couple lemon lime philodendron cuttings that were gifted to me that are beginning to root.
Hanging is my sad little english ivy & my green prayer plant that my grandmother gave me from her plant. Until a month or two ago, I thought the prayer plant was dead but then out of nowhere she started to really flourish.
From the left: the upper shelf has some more jade pothos cuttings as well as a monstera adansonii cutting & a zz plant cutting, all of which are rooting. Hanging in the cream soda bottle is another monstera adansonii cutting. Then that short pot is a succulent of unknown type that has miraculously survived (& even flourished) in my care alongside a drawf umbrella tree named Gimli.
In the Buddha head is Violet Beauregarde, the african violet. Under her is an unknown plant that sorta looks like a monstera of some kind but I have no clue which. I just know that it has survived for 14 years.
In the orange pot is my Pearl & Jade pothos. Beside her is one of the 2 string of turtles babies that I just aquired a couple days ago.
Here are close shots of both the string of turtles babies that were moved from their propagation containers into real big girl pots last night. I am really excited to see them flourish. If I don't accidentally murder them, that is. 🤞
So there you have it. My current indoor plant family in it's entirety.
Outdoors I currently have a super round plumeria (who is doing really well), english lavender, rosemary, lemon verbena, & 2 dew plants. They all seem to be flourishing but the lavender & plumeria will need to come inside soon for the winter, & the rosemary & lemon verbena will need to be harvested.
What time is it? It's plant round up time! Let's see what I've got!
Jonathan, the zz plant, & Lady Hiss, the snake plant. Jonathan is a year old this Christmas & Lady Hiss is actually only 1/4 of her original size. I split her in half to give half to Em & then in half again to give some to a friend of The Spawn who is beginning her plant lady journey (which I am absolutely tickled to assist with).
Mr. Morgan the monstera deliciosa. I'm not 100% sure how he is actually doing because he has some new leaves that unfurled about a month ago that never developed further. It concerns me a bit.
This is Draco the dracaena fragrans & Money-Lisa Saperstein, the money tree.
Up on top of the hutch is Carl Sago, the sago palm.
Here is a jade pothos (known commonly as devil's ivy).
Here are the distance pictures of The Shelf of Growing!! Aaand since I'm about at the picture limit, I will reblog this in a moment with up close & personal photos & descriptions of the residents of said shelf.

For the space asks, planets, Pluto, auriga, bootes, cassiopeia, cygnus, and red drawf
Sorry it took a few days to answer, Anon! I had to dig out my quote book from college for one of the quotes.
Pluto- if I could meet anyone, dead or alive, I think I’d have to go with Lin-Manuel Miranda. Hard ass question to answer, and my response used to always be JK Rowling, but Lin and I would get on very well I think- both huge nerds, pro equality, and I mean his joy is just infectious!!!
Auriga- if I had to face a villain, I think I’d have to say I’d face Malecifent. And by face I mean become her apprentice. I love her.
Bootes- I want an owl SO BAD you have no idea! Like holy crap, my co-worker’s husband works them them in educational facilities and in sanctuaries and she had him bring one to our work for me to meet and I literally cried and he sat on my arm and I died and ascended to heaven. His name was Rocky and he’s my new BFF & I’m now allowed over whenever her husband has to keep him at their house overnight for “play dates” that will all end up consisting of me watching him sleep and crying happy tears
Cassiopeia- I have a few, so bear with me.
“They say that we should love ourselves first, before other people learn to love us, but it’s not as easy as it seems. Sometimes, we need someone to accept us and love us first, then we would learn to see ourselves through that person’s eyes and learn to love ourselves.” -Yuki Sohma, Fruits Basket This quote resonates with me on so many levels and it’s one I come back to A LOT.
“Anything’s possible if you’ve got enough nerve.” -Ginny Weasley, Harry Potter & The Order is the Phoenix This is a quote that is currently a strength point for me right now and where I am in my life.
“While you were busy being heterosexual, I studied the blade.” -Adam Rippon I want this in a goddamn T-shirt. Like, I really really do. I love Adam
Cygnus- I’d want to go to the Victorian/Edwardian time period for sure!!! The dresses, Queen Victoria, sign me up (not for long of course, they don’t have WiFi, but I’d go for a trip in the Tardis)
Red Dwarf- a fav smell is hard, but I really like the smell of lavender, fresh brewed green tea, anything minty, and the original Old Spice cologne.
A smell that makes me feel the most comfortable is my Viktor and Yuuri from Yuri!!! on Ice fabric sprays. Not sure exactly what is in them, but they’re light and calming and fresh.
